MorningsThe sun slowly crept up above the horizon, its rays streaming in between the faded curtains of the bedroom. The strips of light fell upon the huddled masses of those that occupied the bed, wrapped up in one another's arms after having fallen early into the realm of dreams.Mornings by cuddlyharkness
Messy blond hair framed soft, ivory features, casting shadows across the smooth skin as he slept away. The larger, tan frame huddled around this ivory beauty, strong arms resting at the blond's petite waist within the tangle of blankets. Dark hair lay strewn about the pillows, half flattened from restricted movement over the course of the night. Both breathed evenly as they dreamed, undisturbed by the sunlight forcing its way into the room.
As the morning dragged on, the first to wake was the blond. Long lashes fluttered open, revealing the lovely blue eyes beneath heavy lids. Pale lips parted in a half hearted yawn, drawing in a deep breath before he let out a content sigh. He didn't feel like moving just yet, too d
Nibelheim MoonlightThe night air was cold as it blew through the night, silently drifting through the silence of Nibelheim and brushing its icy fingers through soft blond hair. The stars twinkled overhead, the moon casting a soft glow over the young man that sat outside beyond the doors to the inn where the others were sleeping quietly, resting up for their big day tomorrow. He knew he should probably join them soon, but he'd wanted to enjoy the silence of his birth place without the fear of anyone else recognizing him. He wasn't ready for that, not yet. Not now, when he was only a infantryman.Nibelheim Moonlight by cuddlyharkness
His eyes fluttered shut for a moment as the crickets chirped in the background, his breathing slow and even as he took in the smog-free air that felt as crisp in his lungs as it did on his skin. He'd missed that while living in Midgar, where the stars couldn't be seen beyond the florescent lighting from all the different buildings and there were no crickets to be heard. The air there was heavy, a burden on anyone
A Letter From CloudDear Zack,A Letter From Cloud by cuddlyharkness
It's been a while, hasn't it? Since the last time I wrote something to you? Of course, you'll never see this...but it helps to get it down on paper. Hell, maybe the Lifestream does let you get letters. I wouldn't know. But I can hope, I guess.
It's been a few years since our last battle with Sephiroth. The remants are gone, and the memory of Sephiroth with them. All the traces of Geostigma are long gone, too. No one has it anymore, and everyone has put the whole ordeal behind them. You'd be happy to know that I've been taking good care of the Buster Sword again, I'm sure you were ashamed of how I'd treated it before. It stays in the church mostly, leanng against the pillars near the flower bed where I feel it looks like it belongs. I'm sorry I was so careless with it...
It goes without saying that everyone's grown a little since those last few fights. Midgar is actually starting to be cleaned up a little, there's less pollution and mako leakage, and even the worse p
PerceptionWhen it comes to life, its all a matter of perception. I learned that the hard way a long time ago. When someone dies, its all a matter of how you decide to see it that really impacts your life. If you look at the death of someone and think to yourself that it was unfair the world took them from you, then your perception makes you hate the world. If you accept it and tell yourself that they're in a much nicer place, then your perception makes you view the world as merciful to the ones you love. Its all about perception.Perception by cuddlyharkness
After so long of cursing the world and all who call it home, I finally changed my view of life. When Zack left me, I hated everything and everyone who ever had anything to do with Shin-Ra. I hated anyone who tried to tell me that it was okay, that he was okay and in the safety of the Lifestream, probably looking down at me and watching over me. I kept that viewpoint for years.
When I recovered from my identity crisis, I cursed myself for something I couldn't help. I tho

"'Cause you know, you know, you know that I love you. I have loved you all along. And I miss you-"
Cloud groaned. He knew exactly who was calling him. Zack Fair. Who was also known as "Puppy" by some people. It didn't take more than five minutes to know why he was called that. Zack had the boundless energy of a too energetic dog that hadn't had a walk in days. Sigh

The Wolf Prince
Zack Fair was the prince of the wolf pack in the forest of Midgar. He was kind and strong as well as incredibly handsome.
His Father, Angeal, was the King of the pack and was constantly training Zack to be the next leader.
As of a few weeks ago though, Zack had been avoiding his training. Angeal would spend hours hunting down the young wolf and would never find him. An when Zack would finally come home, he had a big grin on his face and he didn't breath a word to his father about where he had been.
It angered Angeal. What could be more important than his training? Zack was becoming lazy and slacking off, Angeal was sure of that.
So on the rare days that Zack did show up for training, Angeal made sure to make the session an extra hard one.
Zack would always complain and Angeal would always give him the same answer.
"If you don't like it, then stop slacking off."
This however didn't stop Zack from skipping out on his duties. Angeal tried different t

The sun was shining and people were enjoying themselves; children were playing in the park, couples walked hand-in-hand while trying to decide what to do. But even with this happy aura, one person was glum. "Come on Cloud, get up." A man said as he patted another guy who was slouched on a couch. "Do I have to, Leon?" The younger asked. "I know you want to get out of here and do something else." The brunette replied. "But what the boss says goes. And I'm sure you don't want to get him mad." With that, he threw the blonde a white apron and headed for the kitchen. Cloud sighed, put on his apron and placed the open sign on the door of the café. Cloud and Leon worked together in a small café in the middle of town. As he waited on tables and brought coffee, he noticed the person who just entered the shop. He approached the taller male, grabbed him by the hand and led him to the back room. "Hey Zack." The blonde said with a smile. "Hey there birthday boy." The ol

As he swallowed in the silence around him, Cloud looked out at the ocean that was moving rapidly with the wind, giant waves clapping together in some frightening dance.
His heart was broken.
His lover had been lost at sea.
At least that's what the letter he had received had said in thick black letters as if he would miss an important message like that, when he had first read it he had checked several time to make sure it was an officia
Black OutDarkness shrouded the city of Midgar as children ran through the streets – unaffected by the power outage as they ran from house to house. Orange and black bags hung from their costume clad arms, weighed down by candy they had collected. Adults walked behind them; monitoring the harmless fun. It was of course the eve of Halloween and the city of Midgar always had a full weekend event of it – the city was that big after all.Black Out by x-chaoticdawn-x
Like the children, two young men are perfectly fine by the sudden blackness. In fact they had just finished carving several pumpkins of varying sizes. Small white candles sat in the bottoms – making eyes and grins glow brightly. Amidst the jack-o-lanterns on the porch they stayed. The moon remained hidden behind thick layers of clouds, removing any chance of light. Laughter ensued as the older male retracted from one of the pumpkins, getting closer to the younger man.
Bright azure met clear blue – both with their gazes locked on one another.

And Happy New Year!
Cloud's as breathless as the leaves on a stormy, helpless against torrents of wind.
For far too long, life was a binding contract of horror. An empty, meaningless terrain that once promised him the world, but left him without a dream to his name. The EX-SOLDIER tried to continue life without meaning, but existing without one's soul is impossible. Cloud was forced to reflect on that while Barrett and Cid entertained a jubilant, loud and musical Seventh Heaven. Loneliness shredded him while Tifa submerged herself in the company of Midgar's orphans. While Yuffie, Red XIII and Vincent chatted away at the bar. Life should've been just as beautiful for the Strife, but-
